- Grandfather, Gene Menees, was Assistant Executive Director at the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) for 34 seasons (1991-2025)
- His grandfather also played college baseball at Vanderbilt University (1974-75) and was a First Team All-SEC selection in 1975 at second base. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 14th round of the 1975 MLB Draft and played eight seasons in the minor leagues
- His father, Trey, played baseball at Trevecca Nazarene University (NAIA) in Nashville and was coached by Jeff Forehand (1999-2002)
- His mother, Sara, played women's basketball at Trevecca Nazarene University (NAIA) in Nashville (1999-2002)
- Majoring in University Studies at Lipscomb
- Chose Lipscomb because of “the campus and the coaching staff”
