2014 (Junior):  Made 27 relief appearances...Went 2-2 with a team-leading 3.10 ERA...Fanned 31 batters in 40.2 innings of work...Pitched a team best 1.86 ERA in conference games only while recording a team high five saves...A-Sun foes hit just .169 against the southpaw in 19.1 innings...Tossed career high 3.1 innings in back-to-back outings against Austin Peay and Jacksonville...Fanned career high four batters in a win over Jacksonville (3/15)...Allowed just seven extra base hits...Led the team in opposing batting average (.213), fewest hits allowed (32), fewest earned runs allowed (14) and walks (14)...Averaged 6.86 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.

Junior College:   The southpaw logged over 100 innings of work on the mound between Parkland Community College and the Utica Brewers of the New York Collegiate Baseball...Was selected as a NJCAA Academic All-American in 2013.

High School:  Prepped at Mahomet-Seymour High School under Nic DiFilippo…Hit .432 with nine homers and 37 RBI's and struck out 107 batters in 62 innings of work on the mound en route to earning the News-Gazette's All-Area Player of the Year in his senior campagin...During his three-year career, Ziegler pitched 180 1/3 innings with 277 strikeouts over three years.

Personal:  Son of Pamela and Michael Ziegler...Has one sister (Emily) and one brother (Matthew)...Father played football and mom played tennis at Illinois Wesleyan...Favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs...Threw no-hitter against Normal U-High during a conference tournament.
