ASUN Conference Announces 2021 Baseball Schedule

ATLANTA, Ga. - After the 2020 baseball season was brought to sudden halt, focus has been shifted toward 2021 and the ASUN Conference revealed the conference baseball schedule on Thursday.

The schedule will feature 10 weeks of divisional play with North and South divisions, with a crossover between the two divisions on the final weekend. Lipscomb, who will be playing in the North division, is set to play 24 games in total. 12 will take place at Dugan field and 12 will be played on the road. The Bisons will face each of their fellow North division foes, Bellarmine, Liberty, North Alabama, and Kennesaw State, as well as two South division opponents, Jacksonville and North Florida.

"The new North-South divisional schedule is going to be interesting to watch unfold," head coach Jeff Forehand said. "Just like anything new, it will take some time to get use to, but we will adapt to it and make it work. We all are definitely excited about getting back to the field and this was the best way to do it."

The Bisons will open conference play with a home series versus Kennesaw, March 19-21. Dugan Field will also play host for weekend series with Bellarmine (April 1-3) and North Alabama (April 30-May 2). When Lipscomb crosses over to play Jacksonville and North Florida, the action will also happen in the Music City with two games against the Dolphins (May 14 & 16) and one contest against the Ospreys (May 15).

When the Purple and Gold hit the road, it will first head to Florence for a weekend series with UNA (March 26-28). The Bisons will also travel to Lynchburg to take on Liberty (April 9-11), Kennesaw to face the Owls (April 23-25) and Louisville for a battle with Bellarmine (May 7-9).
