Men's Soccer Falls to Unbeated Georgia State in Home Opener

NASHVILLE -- Lipscomb Men's Soccer fell to Georgia St. 4-2 on Wednesday at Lipscomb Soccer Complex. The Bisons scored twice in the first half before Georgia St. answered with four second-half goals.

First Half
- Georgia St. earned the first corner and had a Sandro Rabarivony shot before the Bisons went in front in the 11' minute, when Tobías Sosa scored off assists from Jorge Morejon and Enzo Evangelista for a 1-0 lead.
- Noah Kump saved Emmanuel Amede's shot in the 20' minute, and the Bisons followed with a stretch that included a Mateo Secaira attempt, a corner kick, a Morejon shot and a Tyler Stinnett shot on goal.
- Alejandro Valcarce extended the lead to 2-0 in the 31' minute, finishing with assists from Yohan Franchi and James Sasere.
- The Bisons added a pair corner kicks in the final five minutes around Patrick Walz's saved shot, while Kump stopped Leo Jaukovic's attempt before the half ended with the Bisons ahead 2-0.

Second Half
- After an early card and three fouls in the opening minutes, Georgia St. cut the Bisons' lead to 2-1 in the 51' minute on Kenny Yedmel's goal from Virgil Dall'Agnol.
- The middle stretch included a series of fouls and cards, with Morejon sending a shot out top and Kump making a save before Sandro Rabarivony tied it 2-2 in the 77' minute.
- Georgia St. moved in front on Emmanuel Amede's goal in the 80' minute and added another from Rabarivony in the 81' minute to make it 4-2.
- The Bisons generated late pressure with three corner kicks and shots from Yonis Kireh, Morejon and Luke Hanlon over the final minutes, but Georgia St. finished with a 4-2 win.

Sosa scored on his only shot, putting his attempt on goal for a two-point performance. Valcarce also finished with a goal on his lone shot on frame. Morejon recorded an assist and led the Bisons with three shots. Evangelista added an assist for the Bisons.

The Bisons are 0-2-1 overall. Georgia St. is 3-0-1 overall.
