Coach Fletcher Quote: "David Ayre is a fifth year senior who is recuperating from an injury he had last season. Time will tell how much he can contribute. If he can get back to where he was two years ago then he can help our team out a lot. He is a great student and representative of Lipscomb University."

2004: Second on the team with a 4.06 ERA. Tied with Seth Kuwik for the lead in victories with four. Made 12 appearances, starting six games. Struck out 22 batters in 37.2 innings.

2003: Made 13 appearances which tied him for third best on pitching staff. Posted a 3-3 record with a 3.81 ERA. Started five games and was one of three pitchers to record two complete games. Struck out 24 batters in 54.1 innings,

High School: Named to Who[apos]s Who Among American High School Students.
