Coach Fletcher Quote: "Jeff Baumgartner is a red shirt junior. He has been in the Lipscomb system for a while. He had a great freshman year and then was put in a tough role with us last year and had to adjust. Jeff will compete for playing time at first base this year and will be in the lineup a lot to face lefties. He will also work some out of the bullpen. We need him to give us some added depth."

2004: Led Bisons in batting with a .315 average. Played in 39 games, starting 35. Fifth on the team in hits with 39.

2003: Saw very limited action, starting in five of six games before being declared a medical red-shirt.

High School: Named to All-District, All-Regional and All-Midstate teams.

Personal: Bats right. Throws right. Son of Ruth Ann and Ray Baumgartner.
